THE PROJECT
ABS ordered and pre-built an entire system for Flinn Broadcasting. ABS responsibilities included:
-
Build to Design documents based on agreed to conceptual drawings
-
Procurement of all hardware
-
Rack and stack of hardware in equipment rack
-
Interconnect of all hardware per design
- Preliminary testing of complete system
Once the installation was completed, ABS performed a test run on the equipment to ensure proper operation.
THE PROJECT
KTRV-TV contracted Advanced Broadcast Solutions to design, procure and install a new production control room in the KTRV studios. ABS integrated all the equipment purchased by KTRV into a working control room system. They also assisted KTRV in mounting ancillary equipment in the CFE console during the integration process.
"Our primary motivation was to reduce costs by lowering capital equipment expenses, and streamlining our workflow. Despite the huge cost savings, we’re now delivering a fresher, more competitive on-air product."
Daniel Paixao, Chief Engineer
THE PROJECT
TVW-TV, a non-profit, cable television service that provides unedited television coverage of state government deliberations and public policy events, moved into a new state-of-the-art media center – tripling its square footage. ABS designed and implemented TVW’s new technical operations center, which consists of:
-
a technical center with television equipment, as well as a streaming media center, IT, fiber network and telephony equipment
-
production and master control, with three separate areas for production and one for master control
-
three rooms with nonlinear editing suites
-
studio on the first floor
- an audio production room
“During the rebuild of our new facility, we relied heavily on information and advice from ABS. From the earliest planning stages, through pre-build, equipment specification and install, ABS handled all phases entirely to our complete satisfaction. We very much value and appreciate the relationship we have with ABS.”
Cindy Zehnder, President
THE PROJECT
KTUU-TV, serving the Anchorage, AK television market contracted ABS to replace their existing analog news production control room with a state-of-the-art Multi-Definition based production control room. ABS was responsible for providing the system design, procurement, integration, testing, commissioning and system training.
"Everyone at Advanced Broadcast Solutions was extremely responsive to our needs. We made several changes along the way and every request was met with a can do attitude and a smile."
Trent McNelly, Operations Manager
THE PROJECT
As soon as you see its name, you know that Experience Church.tv is different. While striking a balance with its Classic and Dynamic services each Sunday, Experience Church.tv also embraces technology.
ABS has been alongside Experience Church.tv for the past three years. While keeping the church’s budget in mind, ABS helped design, purchase, and install affordable, high quality audio and video equipment.
“I think it’s important to be a responsible steward of the Lord’s money. We decided to find a partner and build a relationship with them. Advanced Broadcast has stepped up to the plate in every way.”
Dennis Cummins, Senior Pastor
THE PROJECT
KOIN-TV and ABS worked together to relocate the station’s satellite uplink and downlink facility from the banks of the Willamette River to its transmitter site in West Portland. CBS satellite terminals were also moved from the old transmission facility to the KOIN-TV Studio.
A considerable amount of on-site work was required to complete the project. A total of ten satellite dishes with controllers, deicers, processing and switching were installed and oriented so that the dish antennas could see the full complement of U.S. satellites. A significant number and length of PVC pipes were installed in trenches to contain power, control, optical fiber, and signal cables.
THE PROJECT
Cowles California Media employed Advanced Broadcast Solutions to develop a plan, budget, and the integration of two facilities into a highly integrated central operation that can be operated with a minimum staff. The news operations in both stations (KION, KCOY) were suffering from aging hardware. ABS' recommendations, plans, and integration were all within the outlined budget and time frame.
THE PROJECT
At the heart of the upgrade is a Grass Valley Ignite integrated production system that links KBCI’s production control room with its AP ENPS newsroom computer system as well as a new, dual-channel Avid Deko live graphics system. Through their seamless integration, these systems enable KBCI to realize greater efficiencies through an automated newsroom production workflow.
The upgrade represented a quantum leap forward from the aging video production infrastructure that KBCI had been using for decades. Before being acquired by Fisher Communications, the station ran on an antiquated Grass Valley 1680 production switcher and single channel Chyron Max, both of which have been discontinued by their respective manufacturers. With the Ignite, Deko, and the ENPS in service, KBCI was able to reduce its head count in the production control room from nine to three people, freeing up resources that could be used for further station improvements.
THE PROJECT
Celebration Ministries International is the most technologically advanced church service in Africa! Patrons, along with far off TV viewers, are mesmerized by state-of-the-art graphics, crisp broadcast-quality picture and sound of the most sophisticated production system on the market.
From the seat at the workstation, several control room staffers can run pre-set shows with the touch of a few buttons, and also have the capability to make quick alterations to titles, graphics or video with almost no delay in system response time.
“Incredible! Despite the distance between us, we still receive the high quality and timely service as if we were in the same neighborhood. Advanced Broadcast Solutions goes above and beyond our expectations every time and we enjoy and value our long term relationship.”
Tom Deuschle, Pastor
THE PROJECT

Mike A. Rosenberg, Vice President & General Manager, KITV
THE PROJECT
This station design centralizes multiple broadcast operations and eliminates the need for multiple master control centers by using central server and automation technology. The system delivers accurate local and network programming and spot insertion for multiple stations. All programming, with national and local spots, is under the control of an automation system.
"For a project of this scale and complexity, we knew from the start that we needed the best system integration expertise available. .stellar reputation among the broadcast industry. We are very happy with our decision to implement this infrastructure within all of our stations throughout the country."

THE PROJECT
ABS designed and installed a broadcast quality HD video production infrastructure for Highlands Community Church. As part of its innovative”Inside Out” project, Highlands added HD video production capability to better serve its rapidly growing congregation – and expand its reach to a second, video-based location.
ABS installed a HD video production control room in the worship center’s balcony, built around a FOR-A HVS-300HS HD/SD switcher and Panasonic P2 HD record decks. Three Christie HD projectors and Da-Lite front projection 16:9 video screens are used for image magnification during the service, with footage from two robotic Panasonic HD PTZ cameras.
