In collaboration with Experience Church.tv, this free one-day conference, specifically designed for the worship community, will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibit hall with a select group of vendors that meet the needs of AV practitioners and pastors.
Courtesy of ABS, registration is free for the first two people registered from each church, and complimentary lunch will be provided. Additional attendees will be permitted based on availability, but space is limited.

James is a professional mix engineer, production manager and system designer who applies more than 15 years of experience in his role as Production Manager for Hillsong Church’s US Campuses including New York, New Jersey and LA. He has traveled the US and Australia teaching ministries about structure, leadership, mixing, and the practical execution of creative production. Through his experience mixing conferences and tours coupled with church planting, he has gained the skills to design systems which enable volunteers to execute high quality production values in portable church environments.
Randy Weitzel with Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. will host a session on the importance of in-ear-monitoring
Randy started his audio career as a sound technician in 1973 touring with Elvis Presley. 1973 through 1976 he also toured as a sound tech for: Bette Midler, The Moody Blues, Elton John and the Rolling Stones. In 1976 he started mixing monitors. As a monitor engineer, his touring clients included: Tony Orlando and Dawn, The Captain and Tennille. Billy Joel, Elton John, Boz Scaggs Diana Ross, Paul Anka, Engelbert Humperdinck, Chicago, Lionel Richie, Madonna, Paul Simon, Don Henley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kenny Rodgers, Janet Jackson, Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith. Randy was also Michael Jackson’s monitor engineer for eight years (1989-1996). In 1986 he won “Monitor Mixer of the Year” from Performance Magazine. He co-won an Emmy for “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special” with Barbra Streisand’s 1994 HBO special. In 2001 and 2002 he mixed monitors for the Grammy Awards. He was on the sound crew as a monitor mixer for Billy Graham’s Crusades in the 1990’s. In 1996 Randy gave up the road and went to work for Yamaha as a District Manager. At Yamaha he was on the design team for PM1D, Yamaha’s first flagship digital console. Randy continues to mix a few gigs in his free time. He was the sound designer and monitor mixer for Andrea Bocelli’s “Under the Desert Sky”. Randy helped with the sound design and mixed monitors for David Foster’s “Hit Man” and “Hit Man Returns” PBS specials and DVDs.
